32. Social Contribution Activity III held in Yogjakarta, Indonesia
Preparations for SCA III started in end Nov 2008 when several ex-REN Singapore participants decided to come together and form a REN / SSEAYP Post Programme Activities Interest Group and do a project in Yogjakarta. Similar projects were carried out in Cambodia in 2007 and Philippines in 2008.

28. Ren 2006 PYs join MBC Activity in Tokyo and other updates
MBC, Mail Buddies Club: Connecting Youth to the World (MBC) project which was initiated by Renaissance 2005, Social Contribution Activities Course members was introduced to Ren 2006 PYs when Mr. Edwin V. Antonio joined in Ren 2006 as ex-Ren OPY Planning Committee member.

27. Leadership Training in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on 5 May 2007 (2nd workshop)
Mr. Ho Men Wai conducted an leadership workshop for over 150 youth volunteers
at the new cultural centre in Ho Chi Minh City. There are two youths among
the audience who will be taking part in the selection process for Vietnamese
PYs for SSEAYP 2007.

26. Owow "Our World One World? Photographs by Children Project "
In October 2005, a group of young adults
from various countries decided to endorse the Our World, One World Project
which will be implemented in several countries around the world. This
project was initiated by Ms Sonia Leon, SWYAA Costa Rica who successfully
completed the project in 2005 with children from Hogar Maria Shelter.
As part of the team of this project, Ms. Joy set a website to create awareness

25. Material Exchange in Cambodia
Material Exchange was held in Cambodia on 2 May 2007; together we have
Serene Mak (SPYf93) & Francis Ong (SPYf93 & REN 05) & Adrian
Chan (MAPYf93) including myself (SPYf93 & REN04) and the books were
presented to PSE in Phnom Penh. After the presentation, we had a short
tour around the campus and had better understanding of the organization
and functions.

24. Social Contribution Activities at Puok Village, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Several of SIS members who participated in the Renaissance Program are
organizing a Social Contribution Activities (SCA) project in Siem Reap, Cambodia
before SIGA 2007. The NPO that will benefit from this project is The Boys'
Brigade Learning Centre (BBLC) located in Puok district, Siem Reap. More

23. Helping Hand by Alumni Association of USE for the One More Child Goes
To School Project in Sri Lanka
Alumni Association of USE has donated a Fax machine (Phone, Printer, Scanner included) to the SWYAA Sri Lanka.
This immensely helped to increase the efficiency of our administration

22. Ren03 Quilt project
At REN2003 she announced to start a quilt project. The idea was to collect
fabric from the countries that are involved in international youth exchange
programs hosted by the Japanese Government . Then she put together a quilt
/ blanket with these fabrics. This quilt would be a symbol of our international
friendship - and thanks for the opportunity for such great cultural exchanges.

21. One More Child Goes to School Project successfully completes the fourth
Semester
SWYAA Sri Lanka is very much pleased inform all the Ren 06 members
that the gOne More Child Goes to Schoolh project successfully completed
the fourth Semester. Last three weeks SWYAA members were very busy delivering
presents to schoolchildren of various districts. Also SWYAA Sri Lanka has
taken many steps to improve the project in many aspects.

20. Ren Reunion organized by SWY Greece Alumni Association
SWY Greece Alumni Association has organized the first Ren reunion in Greece
from September 22nd to October 1st.
Through various activities and local trips it was aimed to bring together
youth from different parts of the world and have some productive fun while
knowing each other better and strengthening the existent network of ex-ren
participants.

19. Leadership Training Resources (one of Ren03 Action Plans)in Cambodia and Laos
Leadership Training Resources were once again used in the facilitation
of an Experiential Teambuilding Weekend for Cambodia PY06 in Phnom Penh
(5-6 Aug 06) and Lao PY06 in Vientiane (26 Aug 06). Experiential activities
and psychometric tool were employed to make learning fun and more hands-on.

18. School-to-School Campaign and Radio Promotion of SSEAYP and MBC Project
On January 2006 Mr. Edwin embarked on school-to- school campaign for the
SSEAYP program and Mail Buddies Club: Connecting Youth to the World (MBC) Project. The latter is a project passed by the Ren 2005 SCA group that
aims to connect youths from different countries through electronic mail
or snail mail.

11. Journey to South Africa and Mozambique
Mr, George Butler went to South Africa on an Arts For Social Change Learning
Journey and to Nampula in Mozambique to visit Leo from the Philippines
an ex SSEAYP PY were introduced by the Ren program network.
He took two lap top computers and helped pupils at Leo's school and produced
a school newspaper called eFree Expressionhwith articles and pictures
about different social issues of importance to Africa and the school.

10. International Understanding towards Global Peace held in Cairo
Mr. Vasilis Tikos from Greece (SWY6) and Ms. Radwa Saad (SWY10) from Egypt,
both are the Ren03, Education Course members held an exchange program among Greek and Egyptian students aged
7-10. This idea came up when Radwa visited Vasilis around the Olympics
games. They held an education program called "International Understanding
towards Global Peace" in Cairo in cooperation with 8 exPYs of SWY
in Egypt and Greece.

9. Leadership Workshop on Nippon Maru (SSEAYP2004)

and conducted a workshop onboard Nippon Maru during SSEAYP 2004. This was a part of the

8. Activities in Bahrain
Ms.
Wafa Ebrahim Al-Ammadi From Bahrain (2nd program, Leadership Course), was
inspired by the experience she had in Tokyo where she interacted with people
with physical disabilities and started a program that would allow opportunities
to interact with people with physical challenges upon her return to
Bahrain. She is actively involved throughout the year, with activities
including learning how to use sign language and interacting with children in an
orphanage, etc.

Leadership Workshop held on 7 April 2004 in Ho Chi Minh City. Some 40 very
enthusiastic youth leaders from the International Department, Ho Chi Minh

6. Visit to Singapore and Malaysia
Visited friends in Singapore and Malaysia whom she met through the Renaissance Program. She also visited a friend's school and had an observation of teaching style
in Malaysia as well as having Japanese culture class by using her experience
as teacher in Japan. She reported that it was not just a travel to visit
friends but also a career exchange that enable her to recognize a new findings
etc.

5. Setting Up SWYAA-India
India has been actively participating in the SWY programs ever since SWY2,

A Card Exchange project was set by Ms. Akiko Nagao(INDEX'01) from Japan.
She used the network of the 21st Century Renaissance Youth Leaders
Invitation Program 2003 to find a foster school in Mexico with the cooperation
of Mr. Herman Morfin (SWY11). Students completed a small research project
on the country of Mexico and made a small presentation to share with other
students what they learned.
