Local
Program
Local program provides the opportunity to learn concrete ideas of each
field in Japan and to brush up the project proposals raised during the
Young Leaders Forum.
The Participating youth grouped in their respective courses, went to a 4-day and 3-night experiential learning in four local parts of Japan - Shimane Pref., Okayama Pref., Miyagi Pref., and Fukushima Pref. The local program included a courtesy call at each government office, visited various facilities
and institutions, with learning about the local area, interacted with local youth, and experienced one-night homestay with
local families.
Getting out of busy the Tokyo program, participants became more relaxed
and cheerful, and got to know each other better through this program. The
local program was made possible with the generous support of each local
government officials and numerous numbers of volunteers including IYEO
(International Youth Exchange Organization) members.
