In 2002 we carried our strategic planning process amongst bord members and developed our mission, vision and care values.  We are recognised by the gonernment schools and youth, plus the Embassy of J= apan to organise/plan -Conference reunion, - To get funding through diplomatic relations and promotions.  Most of the AAs members in Tanzania have enough knowledge and skills on project planning because they are working in different organizations which have project planning. well-planned and clear of both short term and long term. (goal is clear) short term planning can be very successful in acheaving goals. Board does evalu= ate progress and **** and reports to organization. vision is clear
Weakness (es) Bahrain AA lacks annual new plans and the improvement of the previous plans, usua= lly due to lack of time. Lack of coordination / Transparency among the concerned parties. Lack of experience and knowledge in planning activities to be implemented. Lack of long term plans. So far a lot of -- energy has been wasted on the bureaucratic b to legalize = the AA.  Even though we have fin= alized the theorytical part of the strategy it's hard to move on the action and = -- results.  Lack of r. The passibility of getting together at one place & one times is practicaly ril due to the geographic conditions, enpenois line conrining & the f= act that the program a-- eully 2 years & the energy leuel dies down. Can't be implemented based on planned time we don't have strategic Planning yet because we do not have AA yet. No proper guideline in planning.(long terms plan) A concrete project not set up yet. Poor use of the communication media for = the AA. Lack time physical meetings to create strategic plan The need to focus on one major activity because of several projects being porposed by the alumni members. 1. Luck concrete actions, plans and follow up to realise our vison. 2. Not proactive enough to implement projects. Funding, Timing, Distance, Lack of commitment Most of the AAs members are not comitted on AA activities. lack of evaluation tools. No SCA activities except Tsunami. A few people, who are located  **tially are making an effort to leach out to the ex participants & encourage them. STII members about 1200. SII members have various expaertise. Small number of participants active but very commited. Can look beyond differences to achieve toarget. Good teamwork. Big number of exparticipants. Easy contact with the members. 30 active members established governance board with a diverse skill base  large networks among members in community see for. Encorage recent batch members to be committee members. Clear role definitiv among committee members. 1. Alumni members located per region can form a local chapter and they can implement projects in their respective areas. 2. Alumni members are highly motivated, creative self-less. 1. Large pool of members (approximately 1095 members) with diversifed background. 2. Board members from various fields (eg. Lawyers, accountant, mass comm.) Youth expertise, teachers and other Ex-Pys in their respective professional are= as, There is a good human resorce available within the AA We have enough members of AA sfaff, because our country has participated five times in SWY program. 1) 1200 members since 1974 2) since members work in various fields, strong connection in various industries. <= /span> We have many members active/passive. We have an elected board, who publish minutes, very accountable and transparent. Roles are defined. We have very open communication and people aware of who does what.   Exisiting cooperation of active Ex-Pys
Weakness (es) Limited number of active members. Other members are less committed (busy, family commitment etc,) Members inavailavility Lack of human resources. Lack of interest We face difficulty in motivating the non-activemembers.  Lack of free time especially in = order batches. Roles are not well defined, Huge waste of Human resources because we are not properly managed Members engaged with their professional life. Limited time for AA activities. Location of member scattered through out the country. We have only Ex PY have not identify talents and expertise of members. Involvement of the participants. Transportation PY's are living far between each othe= r. Lack of latest on participating. Need of an strengthen plan to order to foster effective participants of the AA members. Not all Ex-PY's are active members not all members have the oppourtunity to contribute to AA. 1. Alumuni members are centrally dispersed in different islands in the philippines. 2. Conflict in scheules because of family and work comminite= y 1. Lack of participation by members are to other commitments. 2. Our activit= ies are usually organized by Board members and we have not created more opportunities to get others involved. Lck of planning and the lack of time management. Also skills and knowledge are not fully utilised to some extent. Not very good coordination within the network. 1) Members are not comitted with Aas activities. 2) Other memebers are livin= g up countries where by communication becomes difficult. 1) physical distance for some members. 2) only some active members. 3) lack = of motivation to work in some projects 4) connection amonf batches.  We have lot touch with many members, no commitment to org. Weakness (es) Limited funds that are received based on the occasions.  Partially of these funds are pai= d by the government. Membership fee is only  paid in once.  Some fund raising activities do = not generate the targeted amount.  Dependency on the fund raising activities. Young AA - Lack of creditability Lack of funds. We are not allowed to raise money in Egypt.=   The only way is to be recognized as an NPO.  So we can raise some money. Low capital due to each of sponsors, donation.  For some AA ; activitie our memb= ers have to cover part of the expenses of their own cost Since we do not have a legal status & this is no plan it is en**nely diffic= ult to target  & do fund.  Collection of annual membership doesn't include all members. Simultant, donation not well plan based on specific time. We lack of fund. No structured planning Difficult to find sponsers. Lack of knowledge of the AA withen the organizations avoids success funding efforts. Need of our official recognition. Not all members are active  pay = *** fees.
