Towards Further Global Harmonization

The 21st Century Renaissance Youth Leaders Invitation Program 2004 shall focus on the theme “Towards Further Global Harmonization ? Initiation of collaborative projects from this encounter.”  The development of information technology and modern transportation systems has made this world more and more borderless.  Sending and receiving information has become easier and cooperative activities and communications have been positively carried out beyond national borders.  Amidst the improvement in the area of international cooperation resulting from this development, however, the concept of global harmonization based on respect and mutual understanding for each other does not seem to have necessarily been pervaded.

This program, hence, shall start by sharing a common recognition among the participants from 21 different countries about the concept of global harmonization.  Thereafter, by providing them the opportunities to widen their perspectives and knowledge about the effective utilization of information as well as instilling in them a sense of commitment, it aims to inspire the participants to initiate collaborative projects towards global harmonization eitherby each of them as an individuals, groups (i.e. theme courses, delegations etc.) or other organizations (i.e. Alumni Associations etc.).
